Eradicating poverty in all its forms remains one of the greatest challenges facing humanity. For the children of Grade 4 and 5 discussed difference between NEEDS and WANTS through fun activities. They were allowed to think that everyone has their basic needs and there are many people who are deprived to get their basic needs. There is no country that is not experiencing the drastic effects of climate change. Global warming is causing long-lasting changes to our climate system, which threatens irreversible consequences if we do not act. Students of Grade 4 and 5 discussed and thought many ideas to help stop climate change. Students exuberantly participated in both the activities.

The topics are thought provoking and a must to be discussed at these levels so as to develop responsible citizens towards the society. The integration of Math with various situations is commendable.

My son has been finding new ways to reuse plastic and paper through innovative and creative techniques. He has been reducing the usage of single-use plastic around the house. These positive changes have come about due to the education of Sustainable Development Goals provided by the school.
It is the need of the hour to make our children aware about the challenges faced by the world. We are grooming global citizens, so this is the only way to make education meaningful. This is a great step in the right direction.
SDGs are the world’s call to action to end poverty, climate change and inequality. The students of today are the leaders of tomorrow. So it is important to make them aware about the problems of the world to groom them to be responsible stewards of the planet.
By implementing this curriculum, we are gradually building empathy, gratitude, sensitivity and sensibility in our students. We aim to steer our students on the right path in order to provide them with a safe future and make them good human being. This curriculum will lay a strong foundation for this.
For quite some time, we were looking to introduce a course that teaches today’s children to understand the importance of preserving the earth’s natural resources for the future generations and bring about a positive change in environment and community. ‘Be The Change’ embodies all these aspects and we hope that children in our school will immensely benefit from this.
