IMPACT OF "BE THE CHANGE"

The impact of “Be the Change” books, as shared through videos by students and teachers, is profound and far-reaching. These videos serve as powerful testimonials to the transformative influence of SDGs in shaping minds and hearts. Good day sir, She is having breathing problem and she did this five star breathing exercise in her practical life (which is in Be the change book ) and she feels better now.

IMPACT ON STUDENTS:

1. Students learn about the problems the world is facing and are inspired to take action to put an end to these problems.

2. Students become kind, empathetic and compassionate towards all forms of life.

IMPACT OF WORKSHOPS ON TEACHERS/EDUCATORS:

Pre and post program surveys are conducted to measure the impact of the workshop. It was interesting to see that participants who knew nothing to very little about the SDGs walked away with deep understanding of the 17 SDGs and Ways to apply the SDGs in their lives and also integrating with the subjects that they teach. This ensures regular reinforcement of the goals.

Here are some of the key outcomes of the survey, in general:


1. Understanding of all the participants about the SDGs increase to around 80% after the workshop.

2. The extent to which teachers believed that integrating SDGs is important increase significantly to 94% after the workshop

3. Post the workshop, the confidence level of teachers increases to 88% about including SDGs in their teaching practices

4. Lack of resources like books is the most important challenge teachers anticipate for which we provide ‘Be the Change’ books. Direction from the government and resistance from the management are the other hurdles teachers anticipate.

5. Over 90% teachers believe that including SDGs will contribute to students’ development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

6. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, 95% teachers believe that this training helps them understand SDGs and their importance in school curriculum
